I'm pretty bored right now.
That said, I have some bad news...
If you've been following for a while you'll know I'm cheap & don't spend a lot of money. So last week my friend spent the night after we had been drinking. I also had my Canon 30D, My only DSLR, on a tripod in the same room. I left it there so I could try to get pictures of an owl that keeps showing up in my back yard in the middle of the night. I wanted to have it ready on hand so I wouldn't have to turn turn on any lights or anything & scare it away again. It was in the corner out of the way on the opposite side of the room my friend was sleeping....
So I woke up in the morning...
Not only was my camera knocked over on the ground but the camera it self was laying in a pile of poo. At first I thought my friend was so drunk that he got lost & couldn't find the bathroom so he stumbled around the room until he found a corner to pop a squat, knocking over the camera in the process. Of course he denied these allegations since he was to drunk to remember or just to ashamed. Later I figured one of my cats that is getting pretty old must have left the surprise in the corner. It was sort of small to be from a human. I still think he knocked over my camera. It can't knock it's self over, right? I know my cat wouldn't have been able to knock it over since the tripod legs were extended all the way so it had a wide center of gravity.
The camera hasn't been working right since then. Every few pictures I take, I get a message saying "ERROR 101-..." something about not detecting a lens. It was bed enough that it has a very dirty optical censor & the shutter button only works 1/4 of the time. I NEED a new DSLR. That would be pretty sweet to use some of my lensbaby lenses with video mode on a new Canon DSLR. I'll just keep on dreaming for now. On the plus side the feces was only one the lens & attachments, not the camera itself. I was able to carefully clean it with soap & water.
It seems like I wont me taking any new pictures for a while. I can't afford a new DSLR & film is also pricey to keep buying on a regular bases, especially if you can't develop it yourself. I do have a lot of older stuff that I've never uploaded anywhere that I would still like to share. It's been so long since I've uploaded & I have so much stuff that I just hope I don't upload something I've already uploaded. I still have a ton of different projects that are 1/2 finished or on hiatus until later. Maybe I con focus on painting while my photography wile be on hold for a while. I still suck at creating titles & descriptions for my works. I think names & titles can be to limiting & objectifying sometimes anyway. I mean what kind of title is Hurdydurdydurrrr...
Besides, I don't like what deviant art have become. I think Llamas are fucking stupid.
Maybe I'll upload something tonight.
